Professor Mike Ross - 3rd degree black belt
Professor Mike Ross started training Brazilian Jiu-Jitsu/Mixed Martial Arts in January of 2006. Mike began training under the Rigan Machado affiliation. Mike's training early on consisted of no-gi BJJ, wrestling, muay thai, boxing and kickboxing. Mike utilized aspects of all these arts and developed a well rounded MMA fighting style. Mike went on to have his 1st MMA fight in August of 2009 where he won by first round TKO. Mike later fought for the 185lb TXC title in October 2009 where he became a MMA champion. Mike put is MMA career on pause while he pursued a Master's Degree in Accounting but was never able to get back into the fight game. Mike has been teaching BJJ in Dexter, MI since 2009. Mike was awarded his BJJ black belt in 2014 by his instructor Tyrone Gooden (4th degree Rigan Machado black belt).
